For a church, sponsoring a house gives people a concrete way to put their faith into action. Many churches who have partnered with Habitat experience revitalization throughout their congregation. Volunteers who work on a Habitat home often form friendships with new people from their own churches. Some churches experience growth in membership and giving because people want to be part of a vibrant church that reaches beyond itself.

Full and partial sponsorships of homes such as the Apostles Build are available to churches.

Sponsorship provides a way for management and employees to work together to give back to the communities where they work. It also builds teamwork, camaraderie, and increases community good will and visibility of Habitat’s projects.

All different levels and kinds of sponsorship are available. Our sponsors have included small to large businesses and corporations. Sponsorship can include full and partial financial support of the construction of a home, fund raising events such as our annual golf tournament, lunches for a volunteer work crew on Saturdays, or volunteers to work on a construction site.

The combined effort of the sponsor and Habitat for Humanity of York County addresses the problem of substandard housing in our community with a positive solution.
